The School of Architecture in Toulouse is located in the context of the city elements of Toulouse. Since there are a lot of historical buildings around the site, the visual connection between the school and the elements is one of the important issues. The project is situated in the same axis with Saint Jacobins and Garonne River. Resembling the shape of the Saint Jacobins and opening the view towards it. The School of Architecture can be one of the city elements in Toulouse. The building has extruded and intruded masses interacting with the view towards the city elements. The extruded part creates a ‘Camera-lens frame’ towards eastern and western views while the intruded part creates a balcony viewing northern and southern directions.
